Hooptown Camp incorporates Sport Stacking as a serious component of its program... and it's fun to do, too.

2005 Update: "As usual "Sport" Stacking has been a BIG success at Hooptown", reports Carol Martini. "The kids absolutely LOVE stacking. Every Friday, as part of the awards ceremony - we have a "final" competition among the "leaders" in each Division (Ivy League, Big East, College and Pro) for t-shirts."

Divisions compete against each other for fastest stacking times.

Campers and Parents TOO!
The competition has also been a real hit with campers and their parents.
Many kids come in the morning and head right to the cups during our 8-9 "free shooting" time!

Fast times earn a position on the Hooptown Sport Stacking Board

Our Hooptown Sport Stacking "Board" that you see in the background is highlighted with the names of all campers who have gotten their times under 15 seconds ("College" and "Pro" Divisions) or 20 seconds ("Ivy" and "Big East" Divisions). We are also giving out an award each Friday to the camper in each division with the best time.

Stacking has both value and appeal... Many of our counselors/coaches are also going for a camp best!  Speed Stacks are certainly a major attraction to our campers of all ages!

Camp participants continue to practice sport stacking with Speed Stacks.

Using the Speed Stacks' StackMat, stackers kept track of their stacking sequence times.

Hooptown Basketball Camp has been sharing its stacking progress since sport stacking was included in their camp program in 2001.

We share their original thoughts on utilizing Sport Stacking into their program:

DATELINE: 2003 -
"We have just completed a phenomenal 6 weeks of basketball camp here at Hooptown. All of our weeks were sold out by May 1, with a waiting list of over 50 campers each week. Certainly one of the reasons for the popularity of our camp has been the addition of sport stacking to our daily program.

Speed Stacks gets more and more popular week to week and now that we have had them for the past 2 summers - year to year as well!

We stacked during stations and lunch as well. It is really hard to describe what a hit they have become!

The StackMats for our stations were spectacular. They do indeed make a big difference to the kids at all levels of ability.

We think we have one of the best basketball camps anywhere and Speed Stacks is a big part of our success."
