World cup-stacking record broken at 7th-annual 'Rocky Mountain' Cup Stacking Championships

Rocky Mountain Cup Stacking Tournament highlights:
On April 6th, more than 950 participants competed in the 2002 Rocky Mountain Cup Stacking Championships held at the United States Air Force Academy. The stackers represented 80 schools from throughout Colorado, and included competitors from Texas, Oklahoma and Florida. Participants competed in individual timed events and relays. There were 56 trophies and 504 medals awarded to the top stackers in their divisions.

The Rocky Mountain Cup Stacking Championships is the largest stacking tournament in the world and the first to be sanctioned by the World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA). The WSSA was formed in 2001 in Colorado to govern and promote the sport of cup stacking worldwide. The WSSA is a non-profit organization and serves as the official source for rules and regulations to provide a consistent framework for cup stacking tournaments.
