GUIDELINES for kids submitting stories:
We want you to send us those stories, photos, captions and poems! Do ask your parents' permission before you send anything to us. PLEASE, one entry that you wrote yourself per person. . . based upon the contest theme, choose your best stacking words and send it in!

Entries, with between 100-300 words, can be either in the form of a story or poem and may only be about you and the sport of stacking. Stories must be in the writer's own words and should relay personal experiences. Although we supply the photograph in a Caption Contest, the words should be originally yours.

Entries are judged on:

Originality/creativity.
Overall writing quality. (It pays to pay attention to grammar and spelling! Parents and teachers are encouraged help their child/student revise and edit work.)
Readability.
How well your composition relates to the contest theme.

Consideration is given also to the age of the writer. . . the same piece that is considered "prize worthy" from a 7-year old, would not necessarily be considered "prize-worthy" if submitted by an 11-year old.

PARENTAL Release:
A parent or legal guardian of the child writing the story must check the release/approval form field on the Submission Form in order for the child's story to be used on the web site.

Please note: The child's first name, age, school and city/state are published on the web site alongside the child's story.
