Live from New York. . . Dave Price from the “Early Show” wowed by sport stacking!

A New York City appearance on the CBS “Early Show” was on tap [August 26, 2003] for world sport stacking champion Emily Fox.

She was invited to do a segment with "The Early Show" weatherman Dave Price, who was pleased to introduce his national audience to the “phenomenon of sport stacking.”

After seeing Emily hit a Cycle stack in 8.75 seconds, Price said, “That is remarkable! Wow!”

The weatherman was a good sport after Emily soundly outstacked him in a head-to-head race. “This is just terrific,” he said. “Great coordination, wonderful skill and a lot of fun.”

First Guinness World Record set in sport stacking. . .

Sport stacking took over Times Square in New York City on August 26th where Emily Fox set the first Guinness World Record in the Cycle stack. Her time of 8.42 seconds will be entered into the 2005 Guinness Book of World Records. (The 2004 edition has just been released.) (read more about how the Guinness World Record was set this day)
