    "Lay's Stax" Bring The Country's Fastest Hands Together to set a Guinness World Record in Sport Stacking    
         
 


To celebrate the launch of Lay's Stax -- potato crisps stacked in a portable, resealable, crush-resistant container -- the brand brought the fastest hands together to attempt to set the first-ever Guinness World Record™ in sport stacking.

Hosted by TV personality Caroline Rhea, the world record attempt took place in Times Square, NY (Island located at intersection of 46th St. & 47th St. and Broadway & 7th Ave.) at 10:00 AM EDT on Tuesday, August 26th.

    The Contenders    
   

The Lay's Stax event brought together three of the world's top cup stackers for the competition.

The world's top-ranked cup stackers include:

  • Alex Rivas, a 13-year-old ranked fourth in the world;
  • Brennan Fox, a 13-year-old ranked second in the world;
  • Emily Fox, a 16-year-old who is ranked No. 1 in the world.

These three contenders competed to set the first-ever Guinness World Record™ in sport stacking.

Emily Fox became the new Guinness World Record™ holder.
