An
annual festival held in Makuhari Baytown, Chiba, on the outskirts
of Tokyo hosted hands-on opportunities for residents to learn sport
stacking.
The Festival
took place on May 17, 2005 and was an all day affair. With two “teachers” manning
5 stacking stations", John Fox says, “folks were asking
for one more try as we attempted to take down the tables!”
Stacking
has global appeal
With
a local population of 25,000, about 9,000 attended the festival
and John and his wife, Tomoko taught about 400 folks to stack
that day.
They even
had stackers sign-up for a "Time Challenge" and
the fastest stacker in each age category won a free set of Mini's. |
