Speed Stacks Curriculum Adviser Workshop:

Speed Stacks was invited to come and do a workshop for teachers from the Barnet area of London by Mr. Steve Marshall, who works for the local Education Department where he holds the position of Curriculum Advisor for the area. Steve had witnessed a demonstration by Speed Stacks at last year's Special Needs & Education Show held at Olympia in September 2003.

30 teachers in the Barnet area met at the North London Business Park for a workshop to promote stacking in the Borough. Steve is looking to promote stacking amongst schools throughout his Borough and hopes that many school's will adopt programs which will help student's develop important key skills!

He immediatly took an interest in the sport and it's developmental possibilities through Kinesthetic Learning.

Two young Speed Stacks Demonstration Team members, Lianne Briggs and Louise Weller, gave a "slow motion" example of stacking and then impressed all with their rapid sport stacking prowess.

This workshop was structured to give teachers hands-on tuition in Sport Stacking.

Races were held and the teachers keenly competed to be first!

Some teachers were lucky enough to be selected to participate in Team Relays which were great fun to watch and helped demonstrate further how Speed Stacks could be used to their full potential with students.

At the end of the session many of the teachers asked If Speed Stacks would come to their school's and help them launch their programs.

Speed Stacks was happy to oblige and many dates have now been booked.

Speed Stacks would like to thank Mr. Steve Marshall for all his efforts and are looking forward to demonstrating again at event's organised by him in the future!
