Product Description

The new Speed Stacks G5 Timer is the next step in the evolution of sport stacking. The patented four-pad activation system eliminates a whole class of scratches by ensuring that hands can’t be holding cups when starting and stopping the timer. Other G5 features include:

Two operation modes: 4-Pad (for stacking) and 2-Pad (for speed cubing). Just hold the RESET button for 5 seconds to switch modes.
RESET and POWER buttons have a new reinforced design that won’t wear through with extended use.
Hold-feature on RESET and POWER buttons prevents lost times when a timer is slammed.
TD cord plugs in underneath the timer so it’s out of the way and doesn’t accidently get unplugged.
A new snap-in G5 button system eliminates timers getting knocked off the mat inadvertently.

Note: The G5 StackMat Pro Timer is not compatible with Gen 3 and Gen 4 mats.

My Son Loves This October 26th, 2024

My son recently got into "cubing" and he loves this. It keeps the time well and he's excited to use this to improve his times on completing rubix cubes. Overall great - it's holding up with daily use and no complaints.

We bought this timer for a 10-year old who is into Rubix cube and seeing how fast he can solve them. He loves it. It kept him occupied on an overseas flight for six hours. The value for the price was well worth it.

I absolutely love this timer! It's so easy to use has an extremely good touch-to-time ratio. I would recommend this to anyone trying to find a timer for their WCA comps. or even day to day use.

Smaller Than You Think, But Hey, It's A Timer November 29th, 2022

My son has been obsessed with Rubik's Cubes since he saw the speed cubing doc on Netflix. After a month of hounding me for the timer they used, I finally caved. It does what it advertises. Pretty accurate timings with two settings, one for cubing, and the other for cup stacking. It's great, easy to travel with and gets the job done.

My son is really into solving Rubik's cubes... He went from not being able to solve them to sub 30sec in 2-3 weeks. He loves watching YouTube videos and this was the timer everyone seemed to be using. Had great reviews so I got it for him. Still holding up since we got it and I have not had to change the batteries yet.

Necessary For Any Serious Competitor September 4th, 2020

I've been speedcubing for nearly a decade now, but haven't owned one of these until now, and I must say I now feel like a legitimate speedsolver now that I have one.

Sentiments aside, the unit itself was much smaller than I expected at only 11 inches long end to end. Even so, there's enough space for comfortably positioning my hands. It's *extremely* responsive, which shouldn't have surprised me, but did-- it legitimately feels like the sensors are instantaneous, and require very little pressure. Safe to say, I definitely understand why these are trusted by competitions and individuals.

4 stars b/c son was a bit disappointed that it was smaller than he thought. Everything works fine, though. I wish i could give it a 4.5 star.
