Time to tackle speed stacking—the sport of stacking and combining plastic cups at lightning speed. According to Speed Stacks, the company that manufacturers the sport’s specialized cups, the activity helps children develop motor skills, patterning, hand-eye coordination, and better focus and concentration. Plus, speed stacking can help kids improve their bilateral proficiency, since they use both sides of their body to build their cup towers. Also, it just looks friggin’ cool. Katie Linendoll took at stab at speed stacking during Toy Fair 2015, and got schooled by some pretty handy kid champions.
